Until the age of 13, I called Oxford in England 'home'. It was then that we moved as a family to Ballarat and I found my feet in this strange land of vegemite, AFL and endless beaches.
With a love for writing and an interest in international affairs, I studied a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) at the University of Melbourne - no mean feat when living 'on res' for three years!
Picking up experience as a TV news presenter on Channel 31 and in public relations, my short period of 'what do I do with an Arts degree' was answered with a Master of Communications at RMIT.
Having not opened a Mac book before or known the word 'blog', my mind was opened to technology, journalism and marketing. I threw myself into getting further experience, including more TV, radio and video reporting, producing at the ABC and as a PR consultant.
I also channeled my long term love for design and my new-found interest in technology into starting an interiors blog, getinmyhome, which I still run today.
It wasn't long until I landed a 'dream job' managing the social media and digital marketing for 'Visit Ballarat'. With local business owners seeing my work and others coming across my interiors blog online, I started picking up contracts helping others with their social media and content. The attraction and satisfaction of working one on one with my own clients became too strong - and too much to fit in after-hours! So in 2015, I handed in my resignation to launch Good Media.
I was - and continue to be - driven by the belief that all business owners deserve well designed and strategic marketing; be it their website, branding, content or social media.
Together with my clients, I craft their brand stories and refine their key messaging and aesthetic - both online and in their physical space. And I collaborate with designers, developers, photographers and interior decorators to make this happen, seamlessly.
